ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
• A VERY SAD OCCURRENCE. Illy Tclcffraph.-Press Association.! Christchurch, Juno 28. A fad death occurrcd at Sydenham this morning, Mrs. Schulz, of Dudley Street, Addington, being found drowned in Jacksoil's Creek. Mrs. Schulz, who was expecting accouchement, was residing with iler sister (Mrs. Blythe). At 0.30 a.m. today she was seen in her room, and then appeared to be in her usual health and spirits, but, at 7 o'clock, she was missed and on a search being made a chair was discovered against the back yard fence on the other side of which lies Jackson's Creek. Mrs. Schulz was found lying, face downwards, in tiie creek in alxnit four or five inches of water. She was then quite,- dead. At the inquest a verdict was returned that deceased was found drowned, but that there was no evidence to show how she actually got into the water. A FATAL FALL. Auckland, June 28. A workman named Charles M'Donald Agnew fell some sixty feet from the top of the new ferry building this afternoon, and received injuries which resulted in his death at the district hospital a few hours later. Deceased, who was 33 years old, leaves a widow and one child. DROWNED. •Dunedin, June 28. A married man named Daniel Findlayson, aged 52 years, residing in Mornington, who was employed on the dredge Vulcan, was drowned this afternoon. He w:as due at work at 3.30 p.m., and, on going on board the dredge, he had to go down some steps. It is surmised that ho slipped off the steps and fell into the water. A CASE OF SUICIDE. Palmerstori North, June 29. Frederick William Schlieriki, aged 29, committed suicide yesterday afternoon by cutting his throat at his mother's residence. Deceased had been in business as a plumber. The reason for the act is at present unknown. BADLY BRUISED.
AA hile running to catch a Newtown car in Kent Terrace yesterday, a man named Peter Brown was knocked down by motor-car 77, and badly bruised and shaken. He was removed to the hospital. Brown is n boilermakcr, 15 years of age, and resides at Antico Street, llelros,\ ACCIDENT ON HUTT ROAD. Yesterday afternoon an express, owned ? Gnidin, of AYellington, and in charge of AValter Taylor, met with a mishap. It appears that the horse took fright and bolted along the Hutt Road between Hutt and Petone. The vehicle was overturned, and the driver rendered unconscious. Dr. Ross who attended the case, stated that no bones had been broken, bul: that a severe shaking had been sustained.
