The additional cost thrown upon Harbour Hoards by the new method of plotting their members us required by (ho Harbours Amendment Act, 1010, was the subject of much comment a while ago. The Wellington ..Harbour Board had all its election accounts before it last evening in committee, when it found that the following sums were charged against; it by way of costs of holding the elections: ,C s. d. :] members by payers of dues ... 41 1 0 •1 members by city of Wellington . Id. These were referred back to the returning officers for further information. The above business having been done in committee, the chairman (Mr. 1?. Fletcher), reporting it in bpen meeting, remarked that he thought' the public ought to know what tho Harbour Board elections had cost. The business dono in committee was confirmed.
