THE EXHIBITION.
4 FIFTH WEEK COMPLETED, GRAND TOTAL OF VISITORS 93,675. The New Zealand Coronation Exhibition continues on its bright and merry way at Waterloo Quay. The rain prevented a large attendance last evening, but tho corridors wero fairly thickly populated and tho schools, home industries, and art sections claimed a fair share of attention. There was no particular attraction at tho Stadium last evening, where a number of bowlers played a quiet game oblivious to the sights and sounds ot tho merry world below. The Mission Hand played a number ot selections in the gallery of *'U shed, and down below Mrs. A. ,I'orster Denny gave a cooking demonstration in the Wellington Gas Company's pavilion. This evening Captain M'Leod, from the Wild West is to give an exhibition of lassooing and other cowboy practices in which he is said to bo an expert. July 2ft lias been fixed as tho date ot tho catch-as-catck-ean wrestling match between Gardiner and Roberts. Both men are fine exponents of the sport and a great tussle is anticipated. . Dr. liarriss, director of • tho Sheffield Choir, telegraphed to Mr. H. F. Allen, secretary ot the New Zealand Coronation Exhibition yesterday: "Many kind thanks for your message of welcome. >\e shall be delighted if time permits to visit your great Exhibition.—Harriss." BOXING TOURNEY. Arrangement's arc being made to hold a' boxing tournament open only to members of tho Territorial forces in Wellington. There aro believed to "bo several clever exponents of the fistic art among the Territorials, and as the officers are to be invited to attend an interesting evening's sport ;is bound to result. THE ENGLISH PIERROTS. At the Coronation Theatre the English Pierrots continue to present a bright and clover entertainment. Among tho performers is Mr. Maynard one of the brightest singing comedians that Wellington lias seen for a long hine. valuable aid is also rendered by Miss Phyllis I'hilipson, Messrs. Turner (comedian), Austin (baritone), and Chapman (tenor). It is hoped that Miss Elsa Langley will bo sufficiently recovered from her recent accident to make her reappearance in a few nights. •
TURNSTILE FIGURES. •The number of .people who passed through 'the turnstiles yesterday, was 1023 which brings the grand total up to 93,675. The cosh takings yesterday amounted to <£Gt Is. Gd.
