The United States Circuit Court at St. Louis dismissed tho Government's petition, under the Anti-Trust Act, seeking to enjoin the Union Pacific Railway from controlling tho Southern Pacific line. The Court, by a majority, decided that a merger did not amount to a direct restraint of trade as laid down by the law.
