STEAMER'S BOILER BURSTS.
1 NEGROES BLOWN INTO RIVER. By Telesraph—Pros? Asgociation-Ooojrlebt New York, June 25. A boiler exploded on the river packet St. Joseph at Memphis, on the Mississippi River. Five negroes were blown into the river and killed, and soveral others were mortally injured. The vessel burst into flames. A ferryboat ran alongside and extinguished the fire. The passengers escaped, though some were slightly injured.
