After being informed of President Taft's intention to veto tariff amendments, Mr. Champ Clark, Speaker of tho House of Representatives, declared ■ that the whole tariff ought to bo revised. Should the Republicans in the. Senate defeat tho Bills, the Democrats would appeal for the people's verdict.
