HOSPITAL CONFERENCE.

MEETS TO-DAY. A conference which is to he attended by about one huudrcd delegates,. representing the thirty-six Hospital Boards of the Dominion, is to assemble at 10.30 a.m. to-day in Bellamy's, Parliament Buildings. Preliminary business having been, transacted, the conference is to bo formally opened by his Excellency the Governor at 11 o.nv. The delegates will consider and discuss many details in the working of the new Hospital scheme. Many of the remits forwarded from other parts of the Dominion havo already umii summarised in these columns. The Wellington Board has forwarded only one remit. It runs: "That service in tho hos. pital dispensaries in the four chief centres be counted as a qualification in obtaining certificates as chemists." Tho Wellington Board is to bo represented at the conference by tho Rev. W. A. Evans (chairman), mid Messrs. 11. C. Kirk (chairman of Hospital Committee), J. W. M'Ewan (chairman of the Cbaritablo Aid Committee), Q. T. London (treasurer), D, M'Laren, M.l\,_ Dr. H. Hardwick Smith (medical superintendent), J. Coylo (fee* l'ctary), and A. H. Trnebridgo (superintendent of Charitable Aid).
