ENTERTAINMENTS.

"EIGHT IS MIGHT." With Mr. William Anderson completeness has always been the main thing, and the staging of the great American play now being acted at the Opera House is no exception. The mounting of "Eight is Slight" is on a lavish scale, the scene m the third act depicting the dividingfence at Black Snake E-anch being indeed a splendid piece of work. The company' is a strong one, and one and all are suited to the characters : for which they are cast. Mr. Walter, Dalgleish is deserving of a special word of. praise for a well-conceived and well-played character study. "Right is Might" will be played again to-night and to-morrow, and, on Wednesday night "The Eound Up" will be produced, and it is said that this is the best of the present company's productions. THEATEE EOYAL. The Tossing Testros are still a huge success_at the Theatre Eoyal, their act being followed with keen interest the wholo of the time it was in progress. Tho Musical Wetherleys, Little Willie, Ettio Williams, .Georgo Jones, and the long list, of other performers all had popular receptions. There will be a change of programme this evening. HIS MAJESTY'S. Great business was the order of the day at His Majesty's Theatre on Saturday, both the afternoon matinee and the evening exhibition drawing capital patronage. The bill was a splendid series of "all star" subjects, and showed inter alia the opening of the Empire Pageant by their Majesties King George and Queen Mary at the Crystal Palace. To-night an entirely new programme will bo presented, which will includo views of the revicw at' Newtown Park on Coronation Day and tho illuminations at night. THE KING'S THEATEE. The final performance of last week's programme at the King's Theatre on Saturday night was greeted with a full house. For this evening a complete change of bill is advertised, and, according to the management, "some really good things are in store for patrons. The star item to-night will be the Coronation display at Newtown Park last Thursday, and the illuminations of tho public buildings. West's and Eoyal Pictures have taken some magnificent photographs of the whole proceedings, and they will bo screened in (heir entirety this evening. Tho programme will also include several dramatic studies of absorbing interest, quite a number of comic sketches, and snapshots of topical events just to lu'.nd by the American and English mails. The King's Theatre Orchestra will. also add new selections and accompaniments. THE NEW THEATEE. A vory interesting lot of films are 'boms shown at present throughout the day anil evening at tho New Theatre. "White Eoses" is a delightfully bright item of the comic order, and "Australasian Dances" illustrates the -. characteristic dances of tho natives of various Pacific islands. Dramatic studies, however, predominate. FULLERS' SKATING EINK. Fullers' rink presents an animated appearance at each session. . Patronage, is steady and constant, skaters making full use of the excellent' floor, and enjoying the favourite pastime under ideal conditions. Preparations are well in hand for tho fancy dress carnival which' is announced for July 12. On Wednesday next another of tho popular attractions—a hockey match-r-will take place. "THE EOMANCEES." Miss Mabel ITardingo Maltby is to give an entertainment in Sydney Street Tlall on Monday next', when she will produco a comedy entitled "Tho Eomancers," which is by M. Eostand, tho author of "Chanteclcr." The play will be acted by Miss Maltbv and Miss Putnam, and Messrs. W. E. Bock, C. W. Tanner, and L. Buckcridgc. During the intervals songs will be given by Mrs. Ivan Levy and Mr. L. Buckcridgc. The plan opens at the Dresden to-day.
