WANTED-A BANKRUPT.

A meeting of creditors of John Tipper, a bankrupt, whose motor garage in Quay Street was gutted by fire on March 10, was held yesterday afternoon. The assignee stated that Tipper had been adjudged bankrupt on a creditor's petition and a warrant had been issued for his arTest, but so far had not been executed, the debtor's whereabouts being unknown. A statement prepared by an accountant showed that bankrupt received .£359 from an insurance company for goods destroyed by tire, but his claims against the insurance company in respect to several motor-cars were not paid. Tho only assets were a few articles in the garage and tho possible rights in regard to two motor-cars. The assignee said ho would be glad if ho could get enough to pay the costs of the bankruptcy, lie knew that debtor drew .£l5O from tho bank the day before ho left Auckland. Tho meeting was adjourned sine die.
