Pnlnvrstou, Juno 23—Heavy rain during the early hours of this morning, but, from before 8 o'clock, the sky cleared, and n. line day followed. Indications for frost to-night. 'Shannon, June 23— Tlcavy rnm fell on Thursday night, and Friday wan dull. Otaki, Juno 23.—Sunshine generally, but occasionally dull and threatcnine;. Mnstcrton, The ltev. A. Hodge reported at six o'elork to-night for the previous twentv-four hours as follows:—Shade thermometer, maximum 54.6deg., minimum 35dcg.; earth temperature, 49,<:deg.; rain, 52 points. Carterton, June 23.—Heavy rain commenced falling at 10 p.m.. but it is now duo again. A phiirp shock of earthquake was felt lierc at 5.36 p.m., and a prolonged shako at 2.1C a.m. Greytown. Juno 23.-The weather yesterday v>a- fairlv fine, bul, last night, heavy rain fell at. 5.35 p.m. Au carth(;u:iko was felt, nnd another at 2.15 a.m. to-day, the .latter being a fa.irty. severe.one. Hastings, June 24.—T0-day, the weather has been dull and chilly. To-uight, however, the sky is clear, with prospects of frost.
