(By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.! Masterton, June 23. Two distinct shocks. of. earthquake were experienced here at. 2.15 o'clock this morning. A. shock was also felt at 5.38 last night. - Tenders have been accepted for additions to plant at the Waingawa Moat Works, to cost about .£4OOO. The works are at present putting through about 2000 sheep per week. Building operations in Masterton district will shortly bo very animated. Contracts lo the value- of .EIO.OOO or ,£12,000 are being let, and, included in the new buildings, are line business premises, near the Post. Office, for the Masterton Trust Lands Trustees. Masterton Uacing Club members express themselves strongly at being robbed of ono day's .racing in the year. Four days' racing in the Masterton electorate, with a population of about 12,000, is not considered too much,
