A BANKRUPT DENTIST.

<►__ — • The first meeting of the creditors of John Francis M'Govern, dentist, lato of Wellington, was held yesterday, the Official Assignee (Mr. A. Simpson) presiding. The petitioning creditors (Messrs. Kcmpthorne and Co., Ltd.) wero represented by Mr. W. Jack, and six other creditors were present or represented. The bankrupt was not in attendance. ■; Tho Official Assignee stated that the bankrupt had not furnished him with any. statement of his affairs, .and the bankrupt's'whereabouts were not known to him. The following claims against the estate were proved:—Vergil M'Govern, .£465 10s.; Leo Blake, outfitter, <.£o0; /Consolidated Dental .Co., Ltd., .£74 Is.; Thomas Rich- ■ ardson. and Co., financiers, ,£lO3 17s. lOd.; FiUgibbon and Perry, .£l6; Kempthorne, Prosser and Co., .£100; L. P. Davies, dentist, JBI3 155.; H. H. Coote,.optician, .£4B. It was resolved that the Official Assignee, should make inquiries through the . Public Trustee or any other person who can give information regarding a will supposed to be made by Mrs. M'Govern in connection with her estate, in which Mr. John Francis, M'Govern is supposed to be interested. The Official Assignee was also instructed to apply to Mr-Perry regarding the position with Messrs. Frost and Frost.
