Bd. to 14s. 6d.; prime ewes, 153. to 19s. lid.; extra, to 215.; medium, Us. 6d. to 14s. 6d.; aged and light, 10s. to lis.; merino wethers, lis. 2d. to 13s. Tho yarding of fat cattle totalled 299 h-ad, or about 80 le;s than last week. The ciualitv was' mostly prime, but, notwithstanding this, rr.d the shorter supply, tho demand was not very keen, and prices were somewhat easier. Steers made £7 7s. 6d. to £11 155.; and extra to £18 10s.; heifors. £5 12s. 6d. to £11: and cows, £5 l?j. 6(1. to £11 7s. 6d„ equal to 245. and 28s. for prime; to'3os.'foT, extra, 2ls. to 235. for medium, and 19s. 6d. to 20s. 6d. for cow and inferior beef per ICOlb. Veal oalves sold at 43. 6d. to 555., and extra to £3. 18s„ according to sijo and quality. North Island steers made £10 to £13 17s. 6d., and heifers, £8 10s. to £10 5s Storo cattle comprised old cows, and they sold at 13s. 6d. to £3 ss. Pigs: Only 80 were penned, consisting of stores, suckers, and porkers. On account of the shortage prices for porkers woro about 103. higher, and those for other •sorts were about tho same as last week's rates. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., roport on their Johnsonville sale as follows :—A heavy yarding of bullocks and sheep came forward, and met with a ready pale. Prime heavy bullocks, £10 10s. to £10 155.; medium bullocks, £9 10s. to £9 15?.: lighter, £8 12s. 6d. to £9; fat heifers, £5: prime wethers, 18s. Bd.: medium wethers, 16s. 9d. to.. 17s.
