(From Oar Special Correspondent.) Mastertori, June 20. i The Worksop Dredging Company, in which a number of Masterton residents are interested, is declaring a dividend of. 3s. per share to-morrow. Since January last, this company has returned 10s. on each j£l share. During the last -term of the physical culture classes in connection with tho Y.M.C.A. in Masterton there' was an aggregate attendance of 2510, or a weekly attendance of 180. A petition in favour of Mr. T. K. Sidey's Daylight Saving Bill is about to be circulated among tho athletic bodies of Masterton. Tho 500-acre farm of Mr. Eobert Dawson, of Mauriceville, lias been purchased by Mr. Eobert Cameron, of Opaki. Tho total number of registrations in the Ma-sterton district under tho Defence Act is 13.16. This number comprises TC2 cadets and 574 Territorials. A meeting of the committee of tho Masterton Horticultural Society was held last evening, Mr. ,T. Pryor occupying the chair. It was decided to hold a summer show on or about the snjne date as last year, and that home industries be excluded. A Mib-committee was set up 1 to prepare a schedule, and to report to next meeting. The cottage garden competition was deleted from the programme. It was. decided that a bulb exhibition he held under the auspices of the society.
