A SETTLER "HELD UP.". ; ; !: i ■■ ,1, ■. (By Teleerapll.—Special Correspondent.! Auckland, June 19. According to tlio Opot'iki correspondent of tho "Herald," Mr. D. C. Martin, of Tybton had rather a startling experience while on his way homo on a recent evening. Ho was driving along the road when suddenly he was "held up" by an unknown man, and forcibly requested to hand over any valuaWes that ho had about him. Fortunately Mr. Martin had no money in his pockets, and tho enterprising "highwayman" "borro|ived" Ilia coat and decamped. Further developments are expected.
