MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
(Before Mr. W. 6. Eiddell, S.JI.) SATURDAY'S CASES. A man, named Joseph M'farlaue, who was charged with failing to provide- adequate maintenance for his wife at Motueka, was remanded for a week, bail being allowed in .£IOO end two sureties of' £50 each. Mr. E. K. Kirkcaldie appeared for accused. On charges of drunkenness, William Coulling and John Slater were fined 10s. each, the alternative being IS hours' imprisonment. Xorah Williams, charged with drunkenness, was fined 55., with the option of 21 hours' imprisonment, and a similar penalty was imposed on two first offenders. _________
