Eighty thousand Albanian Highlanders attended tho opening Selamlik at tho tomb of Sultan Mourad on the Plain of Kossovo. There was immense enthusiasm when tho Grand Vizier announced an amnesty for all Albanians for political offences. In order to check tho vendettas tho Government promised to pay blood money amounting to .£30,000 in connection with all unavenged murders.
