LARGE LIBERAL MAJORITY. By Telcsraoh—Press Association—Copjriirto London, June 16. The polling for tho Ross and Cromarty seat in the House of Commons took placo to-day. The seat was rendered vacant by the death of Mr. J. Galloway Weir (Liberal), who was returned unopposed in December. The-result was: Mr. Macpherson (Liberal) 3,717 Mr. Templeton ; 1,253 ' Liberal Majority 2.4G1 NEW MEMBER FOR BRIGHTON. . London, Juno 17. The Hon. W. Gordon (Unionist) was returned unopposed for the Brighton seat, a vacancy for which was caused by the sitting member (Hon. W. F. Rice, Unionist) going to the House of Lords in succession to his father, Lord Dynevore, who, died last week.
