BASIS OF CALCULATIONS. By Teleßraph-Prtss Association-Ooryrlebt London, June 13. The president of tho Institute of Actuaries (Mr. G. H. Ryan), referring to Mr. Lloyd-George's National Insurance Bill and the fact that some members of tho institute had assisted in the actuarial calculations, regretted that tho Bill was not based on the results of the new census. As it was, they had to go on the figures and experiences of New Zealand for essential information.
