MINING COMMISSION.
» TO BE HELD SOON. A deputation representing the executive of the Miners' Federation, among whom were Mr. Seiuple (president) and Mr. 1\ J. O'llegan (solicitor), waited on the Hon. 11. M'lCcnzio (Minister for Mines) yesterday, and had a long interview, extending over two hours. The press wero not admitted.
It is understood (hat the Waihi trouble was not discussed. The object of the deputation is to discuss the proposed Mining Commission. Some misunderstanding lias occurred between the miners and tho Government on tho matter, and the Minister yesterday promised the deputation that he would lay tho matter beforo Cabinet.
As a result of the deputation, the commission, it is understood, will eit at iui early date.
