The previous record was 57.CC0 carcasses taken by the Ruapehu last year. The total quantity vf frozein mutton shipped at the Bluff by the Paparoa, Tokomaru, and Morayshire was 91,000 carcasses. Mr. W. Watkins, chief steward of the Mapourika, leaves the vessel to-day m order to stand by the Takapuna. Mr. M. M'Lennan, second steward, takes charge. Due in port from East Coast bays and ports to-night, the Union Company's Haupiri makes a special trip to Greymouth on Thursday. She returns to Wellington before proceeding north again.
