UNIONS AND POLITICS.
REVERSAL OF OSBORNE JUDGf MENT. By TelceraDh—Presa Association—OopyriEht (Rec. June 12, 9.10 p.m.) London, June 12. Mr. W. V. Osborne, the Walthamstow railway porter, as a result of whose action against his trade union the House of Lords delivered the "Osborne judgment," is now demanding, on behalf of the Trade Union Political Freedom League, that the Government Bill, introduced to remove the disabilities imposed on trades unionists by tho judgment, be amended, so as to separate a union's political fund from its ordinary contribution. Mr. Osborne also demands that the consent of a majority of the members of a union should be obtained before the objects of the union are altered, in order to include party politics. He also urges that it is necessary that objectors to political action should not be called on to sign a form of exemption which would make them the subjects of persecution.
