'An elderly woman, named Kato Brady, admitted being found drunk'in Oriental Bay, hit denied that she was a roguo arid a vagabond with insufficient lawful means of support. The evidenco was, hpwever, against her, and she was sentenced' to one year's imprisonment on the iriajor charge and convicted and discharged,for drunkenness. •Frances Curry, alias Jones, pleaded guilty to a charge of..being a roguo and in that she was found without lawful excuse on premises in Martin Street. She was convicted and ordered to~.be, sent to the Salvation Army Home for six months. John Watson, who had been found helplessly drunk on June 2 and remanded for a week's medical treatment, was convicted and ordered, to pay medical expenses, ; totalling -.£1 18s. Cd., in default to undergo seven days' imprisonment. Georgo' Ferminger, charged with indecency, was remanded until' Wednesday : next. Mr. P, W. Jackson, who appeared for accused, asked for'bail, which was filed at ,£3O and two sureties of £\"> each. A fireman, named; Patrick' .Gorman, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft of an,.overcoat, valued .£3, the properly of some person or persons unknown. He was : remanded for sentence until Wednesday next in order, that inquiries might bo made' as to : . the owner of the ,coat, •
