WHAT PARENTS TOLD THE BENCH

Palmcrston, Juno 9. Mr. A. D. Thomson, S.M., presided over a sitting of the Juvenile Court, when two bovs, whose ages were eight and ten .■cars respectively, were charged with In-caking and entering and theft. I'he boys, it appeared, had broken into several business places in the town, and 'lnd rifled several tills, from ono of which ,'number of pennies were abstracted. A miautity of stock and a case of apples were al<o taken from tho premises visited. Tho parents of the bovs (who appeared in Court) attributed their children's action to witnessing kiucmatogrnph pictures of burglaries, and stated that the bovs had tried to copy the easy manner in' which thieves abstracted their booty. The magistrate pointed out to tho boys tho seriousness of their offence, and, 011 tho parents signifying their intention to refund the value of the articles taken, the boys were dismissed,
