It was decided to set up a sub-com-mittee to consider the question of holding hockey matches in the Stadium during tho period of the Exhibition. July 1 was the. date fixed for the Can-terbury-Wellington representative game, and it was decided to play tho Hawko's Bay match on July 22. It was resolved, on tho motion of Mr. Luckie, to postpone all senior, junior, and third-class matches on the day of the Canterbury-Wellington match. Speaking in support of his motion, Mr. Luckie said that hockey players could learn'more from seeing a match of' this «ort than they would by playing ten of their own fixtures. Last year, the juniors raised objections to the postponement of their fixtures, but, if they had any enthusiasm for hockey, they -would turn out and witness such a high-class exhibition as this match would undoubtedly be. It was agreed to inform all clubs whoso subscriptions for the year are unpaid by June 24 that such clubs will be suspended and their fixtures on that day awarded to tho opposing team.
