The French Government's decision to settle the champagne area delimitation trouble on the lines of the report recently made by M. Blanc has caused troublo at Bar-sur-Aube.

Vino-dres9ers marched to tho Town Hall, sweeping aside the gendarmes and dragoons who tried to bar their way. A state of siege exists.

Many arrests have been made. The troops dispersed tho rioters after some trouble, but excitement in tho district continues.

It was announced recentlv that the Government had adopted 'jr. Charles Blanc's report that Bar-sur-Atibo and Bar-sur-Seino be reincluded in tl:e champagne area, enabling those districts to designato their wine products "champagne." On tho other hand, with a view fo satisfying the champagne region as recently delimited, Jr. Blanc recommended that the principal Manic vintages bo described as products of "Grande Champagne," and that tho wines of (he whole of the enlarged area be used without restriction for purposes of admixture.
