JAPANESE POLE-SEEKERS' OATH. By Teleeraph—Press Association—C'opyricht (Rec. June 8, 0.35 a.m.) Sydney, June 7. It is stated authoritatively that the Japanese Antarctic explorers, who are now camped on the shores of tho harbour, failed to effect a landing in tho Far South, before leaving homo took an oath not to return until they had reached the South Pole. Tho master of tho ship, Captain Nomura, who has not taken tho oath, hns returned to place the true position before the Japanese public, in the hope of raising additional funds.
