"HANCO"-AN ASSAULT.
. HE WAS TIED UP TOO TIGHTLY. "Hanco, the Handcuff King," who appeared in Wellington a few months has been fined 20s. (and 6s. costs) for assaulting Arthur Cummins ,in Melbourne. Cummins was the member °f a committee which superintended the tyingup of "Hanco" at the Gaiety Theatre. Whilo he was being tied up he said to Cummins: "You are not'merely buckling me; you are knotting me up. Wait till I get out of this, and I will knock you to Footscray." Instead of taking two or three minutes to get free, half an hour elapsed before "Hanco" liberated himself, when he immediately made an attack on Cummins before the curtain could be lowered.
