. The monthly meeting nf the coramiUro of the District. Nursing Guild nf St. .lohn v/as held this week, and was attended by: Mr* E. Balcombe-Brown (acting-presi-dent), Mrs. S. D. Tripe, Mrs. .1. P. Luke, Mrs. A. A. Corrigan, Miss M. E. Bobiefon, and Mrs. W. B. Fisher (lion, secrcThe report for May submitted by the senior district nurso stated that Nurses Sexton and Macandrow had been kept busy since Inst meeting, 858 visits having been paid to the sick poor in their own homes. Tho nurse also reported that twelve new patients had been registered, six discharged, eight vero daily attended to at the office, and three had been sent to the General Hospital. Soup, old linen, and other comforts had been sent to the nurses by: Mesdames McLean, Preston, Luke Bnicombe-Brnwn, Tripe, Moorhouse, Harper, Mitford, Young, Downhard. Hilyer M'Morran. Waters, Denton. TCobieson', Chatwin, Band, Kane. Hanwell, Lissack Scobie, Mackenzie, Sanson, Lyons, Miss Cnrrigan. Members and those interested are reminded of the annual meeting of the Wellington Homing Pigeon Society, which takes place this evening. Tho sport of pigeon-racing has made great progress during recent years, and the society is now very strong.
