The Banco Court to-day imposed a fine of .£255 on William Morris Hughes, At-torney-General, and Acting-Primo Minister of Australia, for assault and breach of agreement with one Richard Bellinger. Bellinger had contracted with Hughes to work tho letter's dairy farm at Windsor on the share system for twelve months. After eight weeks Hughes declared that the farm was not lx;iug properly worked, and ordered Bellinger to quit. Bellinger refused, and Hughes had him forcibly removed. A stay of proceedings has been granted pending the decision of tho Full Court on some points of law.
