In reply to the recent resolution adopted by the Methodist Conference with reference to the rumoured establishment of Tuttersall's sweep in Fiji, the secretary of tlio Conference lias received n communication from the Colonial Secretary of Fiji stating that the Government of that colony intended to legislate against the sweep on the same lines as the Commonwealth had done, and would also prevent the postal scrvico being used for gambling purposes.
