Sir Alfred East, A.R.A., president of tho Roval Society of British Artists, has offered to l" s native town of- Kettering a representative collection of his works. At a special meeting of the urban council, tho stipulated conditions that tho collection should lie properly housed and cared for were agreed to, and tho council recorded its deep gratitude for Sir Alfred's munificence.
