HAMBURG-AMERICAN LEVIATHANS. Bs Tckcraph-Prcsa Associaticn-Oopyriebi Berlin, May ;V. The Vulkan yard at Stettin is building the Hamburg-Amerika liner Imperator, a vessel of 50,000 tons'. The Imperator will bs a sister ship to the Europa. The Europa is being built at the Vulkan yard, Stettin. She is said to be 900 feet long, with a beam of 06 feet. The gross registered tonnage is reported at 50,000 tons, the displacement tonnage (actual weight in normal seagoing trim) at 62,000 tons, 22 knots. With a full passenger list she will have on board 4250 souls. The two White Star leviathans, Olympic and Titanic, arc 882.5 feet long by 02.5 feet beam, gross register 45,00(0 tons, and their displacement is given by various engineering journals at 60,000, 62,000, and 66,000 tons, but the load draught at 34.5 feet is said to give a displacement of G2 ; i000 tons. Tho total number of souls carried is 3316. Tho launching weight of the Olympic was 27,000 tons, and her speed will be 21 knots. Tho Cunard Company has given an order for an express mail boat of even larger dimensions.
