NOTICES OF MOTION. The following notices of motion will conio un for consideration at 10-morrow's meeting of the City Council:— ; By Councillor 'M'l,rireu:—"That a staff committee be appointed to deal with all matters affecting the relations of the council to the corporation, employees rcsncetiiifr iconditions of employment and Service."

;' By Councillor Cameron:—"That the following resolution, passed at the: meeting of tho council held on April (i, 1911, be rescinded, viz.:—'That the- foctions of laud at Adelaide Road and Gibbon Slreet be sold by public auction.' "

By Coiincillor Pitzserald:—"That a committee of iivp members be formed as an Electric Lighting Committee to deal with all matters pertaining to the Electric Lighting Department."

By Councillor M'Laren:—"That the rates of pay to tho general labourers in the employ of the corporation be raised to 9s. per day for permanent men and Is. 3d. per hour for casuals." ■

By Councillor Fletcher:—"That tho resolution passed on April 20 to remove the Queen's Statue by clay lifbour, and not to accept a tender, be rescinded."

: By Councillor M'Kenzic:—"That the By-laws Committee consider the advisability of having a by-law drafted by the city solicitor, providing that all timber, new and old, shall be subject to inspection, prior to use in- any building constructed within tho City of Wellington, and; that no timber shall be used in any building except such as has been approved."

By Councillor Fuller:—"That the present system of concession tickets, other than workers', from the "various termini be reconsidered by the Tramways Committee, with a view of issuing" in lieu thereof a card ticket similar to the one in use at present, but with a provision for sixteen rides for Is. instead" of twelve. Such card will obviously be available over all sections." ■'
