Upon his return from Auckland yesterday Harold Kane, chemist, made n rather startling discovery, fov on visiting his shop ho found the manager, Samuel Taylor, lyinrc dead. When Mr. Kane went to the shop it was locked up. Ho went away but returned later, and, as. the shop was still closed, ho thought that something was wrong and made investigations. By climbing through a window he gained admittance and discovered Taylor lying dead on the door. Deceased was a eompavativcly young man, and had been in Mr. Kane's employ since January last.
