The Bank of New Zealand has received the following cable advice from its London office, dated Hay 25:—"The market has closed with good and strong demand for coarse crossbred*. Prices are higher, nar to 5 per cent. The market is weak for line crossbred. Prices are unchanged. The market is weak for medium crossbred. Prices are lower, par to 5 per cent. The total quantity held over is 30.C00 bale?, of which 20,000 are New Zealand. Current prices for North Island farmers' lots, in average condition:—Coarse erossbreds, ?6 to 40's quality, 9d. to 9Jd. per lb.; medium crossbred, 44 to- «'s quality, lCd. to 103 d. per lb.; fine crossbred, 50's quality, Hid. to 12Jd. per lb. Current prices for South Island farmers' lots, in average condition: —Inferior merino?, 60 to 64's quality, On. to 9Jd. per lb.; superior merino?, 60 o 64 s quality. 12id.. to■ 131 d. per lb.; h-ilf or quai'lerbred merino*.;. M's quality, 12(1. to Ud. per lb." i Messrs. Murray, Eoberts and Co.. Ltd.. have received the followine cablegram, dated May 26, from their London friends. Messrs. Sanderson, Hurray and Co.:—"The rales have closed weak. 40.C05 bales bejns hold over. and. compared with the closine rates of last. London sains, combiner merino, medium to good, shows .no chanee. Scoured merino, faulty and inferior, declined 10 per cent.; crossbred, greasy, fine, declined 5 to 75 per rent.; crossbred, greasy, coarse, par to 5 per cent, advance. The Commerce find Tourists Division of the Department of Agriculture. Commerce, and Tourists, have received the following cablegram froro the Rich Commissioner for New Zealand, dated London, Hny 26, 1911. regarding the closine of the third series of the colonial woo! sales r- "The wool sales have clo-scd; the advance scoured .1* onening lias beer. lost.
