'■ Forty British Chambers of Commerce, threo of the great marine insurance societies, and tho Chamber of Shipping, representing in all thirty-one other chambers, have condemned the Deelaration of London, whilo two Chambers of Commerce nnd two ehipping. societies have declared in favour of it. The "Manchester Guardian" states that the views of Mr.: Fisher, Prime Minister of Australia, have undergone considerable modification, and that it is not nowexpected that he will oppose tho Government's views on. the subject.
