Notwithstanding tho weather on baturday afternoon there was a big gathering of hunting people at Fitzherbcrt East, and three most enjoyable runs wore obtained Mr. Bruce M'Ewen (master) was in charge, Mr. T. Shaw acting as whip' to the huntsman (Mr. J. Sweeney). The "kill" look place near the homestead of the president of the club (Mr. S. B. The following new members were elected:—Miss Buchanan. Messrs. F. G. Barby, M. Regan, L. M'Ewen, W. Jolly, T. N. Robinson, P. Richardson, A. Fee, R. Larkins, F. Robinson. J. R. Seddou, E. Since, A. Wright, E. Burrell, W. Clapham, J. Crook, \ r . Diinocb, llurli Tavlor, W. Hoult, .1. Briscoe, W. Farland. N. Bluiirien, S. Dowett, and E. 11. Robinson. , , Messrs. B. M'Ewen, Jamieson, Buick, and Taylor were appointed a sub-com-mittee to draw up fixtures. ... Mr. .1. Donaldson was'appointed deputymnslcr for the Himitangi district. Mr. .T. L. Buick for Jackeytown, and Mr. Hobinson for.Foxton. It was decided to hold a steeplechase meeting on Wednesday, July i!G.
