Satisfaction was expressed by the buvers at- tho manner in which they were drafted, and competition at the hammer was spirited. Prices: 71 forward bullocks (Te Awaiti). £7 75.; 51 3-year steers (Tc Awaitc), £6 7s. 6c.: 91 2-year steers (Tc Awaitc . £4 12s. 6d.: others. £4 10s.; fat cows (TaMo Lands). £8 rend £6 10s. for lighter sorts: other bullocks, £5 12s. 6d„ £5 155.. £5 lis. 6d. to £6; empt/v ewes (400). 6s. 9d.: others 75.: shorn lambs, 7-a.; woolly lambs, 9s. 6d. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their sale, held at Johnsonville on Wednesday, as follows:—Tho usual entries of boef. consisting of good nuaiity when finished, sold at prices ranging from £9 17s. 6d. to £11 for the heaviest, and £9 10s. to £9 15s. for medium weights. Two pens of nice mialitv light-weight bullocks made from £8 7s. 6d. to £8 10s. A medium entry of sheen, consisting principally of ewes of very average Quality, did not meet with a very brisk demand, and several kinds were passed. The whole entry, however, changed hands before the ev.A of the (lav at the following ouotatior.s:—Wethers, 16s. 2d. to 16s. 6d.; best ewes. 14s. to 14s. Waikanae on Tuesday we had small yardings of both sheen and cattle, which sold at the following prices:—Fat and forward wethers. 14s. 9d.; store cows. £2 7s. 6d. to £2 145.; dairy cows, £3 15s. to £5; empty heifers, £2 10s.: weavers. 20s. to 375. A ouantity of saddlery and ruga sold at good prices.
