Cardinal Mown, on being interviewed on tho subjeet, stated emphatically that tho Roman Catholics of the Empire were not disloyal. H,o added that tho Bishops and Archbishops of tho Commonwealth had forwarded to tho King a valuable gem, accompanied by a letter offering their loving homago and devoted loyalty.
