TUBERCULOSIS IN STOCK.

In the course of his presidential address to the Farmers' Union Conference in Taranaki, Mr. .1. W. Jones referred as follows to tuberculosis:— "This dread disease seems to be on the increase, not only amongst stock, but amongst human beings, and very little is heivf! done to cheek it. True, the Department is still paying compensation for Ftock killed, but no effort is made to stamp out the disease."
