THE DAVIS CLT. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association last evening, a letter was rc- ! ceivc-d from the Australasian Lawn Tennis Association asking that a placo bo recommended where the Davis Cup could be played. The committee decided to call a special meeting of the council for June 27, at which tho New Zealand Association would be consulted upon tho matter. Tlio four large associations in the chief centrcs are to be written to for information as to the suitability of each place. The Australasian Association asks for one match ground and two practico grounds, apart from one another, for tho competing teams, and for the estimated cost of a stand to hold five thousand persons. The committeo decided to appoint Dr. Fames to represent them upon '' -> AU-England Lawn Teunis Association.
