At the annual meeting .of' the Society for tho Prevention of Cruelty to.Animals Mr. Stephen Colridge, Director- of the National Aiiti-Vivisection Society, secured the passing of a resolution'calling on Lord Cromer to resign the vice-presidency of the society, because he is president of the Research Defence Society, which upholds vivisection.
