A RECORD YEAR. By Telecraph-PrQss Association-Oopyrielit (Rec. May 19, 10.10 p.m.) Sydney, May 19. At the annual meeting of the A.M.P. Society the chairman declared that without special effort liavhig been put forth the now business for the year constituted a record. Tho mortality experienced had been remarkably, favourable. There had, however, been a large increase in tho disbursements.due to surrenders by tho State railway employees following on the Superannuation Act. Tho management oxpenses liad shown a pleasing decrease. The Federal land tax would impose a burden on tho society of about £4000 per annum. Tho industrial branch had iucreasod to such an extent that the society would bo enabled to declare a bonus at the end of tho year to policy-holders of five years' standing. Altogether tho report was the most satisfactory ever issued.
