DISPLAY OF TIARAS.
Two million pounds is said to be tho value of the peeresses' tiaras which are to be placed on public exhibition in aid of the Middlesex Hospital. Many of them arc priceless heirlooms. Altogether it is hoped to havo the loan of 200 tiaras,. including ono from tho Queen. The exhibition is to bo held in the showrooms of Messrs. Carticr's premises' in. Bond Street, as soon after tho Coronation as possible,.and will probably last a week. Tho price of admission has been tentatively fixed at a guinea, but in order to allow as many peop'.i to view the jewels as can be accommodated this arrangement' may.be revised. During the exhibition the jewels will bo watched over by armed detectives, of whom there will probably Ixi as many a.s forty. At night the jewels will be placed in strong-rooms underground, and tho armed detectives will remain on. guard throughout.
