Accused was found guilty of stealing £2 ilds., to tho theft of which he had confessed, and the jury strongly recommended him to mercy on account of his youth, and owing to , tho Chinaman having kept the money in a place where the lud had knowledge of it, this constituting temptation. Sentence was deferred. Auckland, May 18. At tho Supreme Court, Mr. Justice Edwards granted decrees nisi in tho following divorce cases:—Louisa C'arr v. John Thomas Cavr, on the ground of desertion; Robert Ballantine v. Harriet Ballantine, desertion; Mary M. Finlayson v. John 51. Finlnyson, desertion; Fredk. G. Brunlin v.
