HUNGRY SHARKS.
_ g ■'" ' * ' AN EXCITING. EXPERIENCE. An exciting shark etory is told by an Australian paper jflst to hand. Tho fishing at Brunswick Heads being particularly good this year,, many of the residents of Mulltmibimby go ddirn at night. A couple of weeks ago three members of the KOwing Club started with an outrigger just after dusk to pull to the Heads. When about three miles down one of them felt something etrike his paddle, and then splaih in the water again. Another Sculler, who was lending, saw a, shark, which grabbed at his hand. Missing this, it Rot between tho boat and fnorowlocks, and the head came clear out of the water for another snap. The shark got tt>, far out of the' water that his shoulder fin got over the «do of the boat, mid there he stuck for a second oi two, tilling nn the bos of the outrigger with water. Tho sculler kept his presence of mind, and held (he eculls flat on the top of the water, and thus averted a Capsize. This is tho first time sharks have been known lo molest boats oh the Brunswick, but two or three years ago a fisherman was attacked on the Clarence, and his oar bore tho teeth marks of the shark.
