CITY COUNCIL LOANS.
STATEMENT BY THE .MAYOR,
In answer to a question by Councillor Sliirtciiffe list evening as to whether certain City Council 6 per cent, loans could not bo converted to 4 per cent., tho Mayor stated that the whole of the loans of the council were at present under consideration, and ho had received authority frop the Finance Committee to take a certain coureo which would be reported very shortly.
