The Governor's 'Speech loreshadows, amongst others, JJills dealing with tho following subjects:-? A new tchemo of industrial arbitration. Amendment of tho' Workmen's Compensation Act. Increased land settlement. Amalgamation of the Government Savings Banks. ' Establishment of a Court of Criminal Appeal. . Decentralisation, of the railways and ports. ' Formation of a Department of Industry. University reform. Extension of tho workmen's dwellings scheme. A tunnel connecting Sydney and North Sydnc-y. It is understood the Government intends to lower the income tax exemption to £200.
