A sevenfold murder is reported from the. village of Soroki, near Kishinieff, in Bessarabia. Four masked men broke into the villa of a wealthy man 'named Shastok, and butchered with axes two lady guests and three maids. M. Shastok on appearing was killed, and finally his wife was also murdered. When they plundered the house, the murderers found a. man-servant hiding behind a partition. They bound him hand and foot and rendered him unconscious. The men then decamped. The villagers next day noticed the silent house, and broke open a door, discovering the terrible series of tragedies. DYING WIFE KILLS HUSBAND. SHOCKING DOMESTIC TRAGEDY. St. Petersburg, May U. A shocking domestic tragedy of an unusual character is reported. A drunken peasant attacked his four children with a knife, when his wife interposed with a hatchet. A desperate struggle ensued, and, as tho wife, who was fatally stabbed, situng the axe, she killed her husband.
